The Simulation in Healthcare track aims to gather and to pool original papers concerning the use of modelling, simulation and artificial intelligence techniques in decision making related to management in healthcare organizations. We welcome papers presenting new concepts, strategies, technologies and case studies, which allow to systematically approach the planning, the distribution of resources and, definitely, the performance optimisation inside healthcare organizations.

Topic List:
  • Discrete-event simulation (DES): event-oriented approach, process-oriented approach, object-oriented simulation, DEVS formalism, agent-oriented simulation, activity-oriented approach, discrete simulation software, ...
  • Decision-Support System (DSS): Multiagent-system, fuzzy system, knowledge-based system, genetic algorithm, organisational issues, interoperability, planning, process optimisation, administrative processes, workflow, web-services, quality-of-service, ...
  • Applications: hospital management, telecommunication networks, education and training, transportation systems, information systems management, networked businesses, ...
