The I3M Multiconference (including the EMSS 2009, the MAS 2009, the HMS 2009, the MISS Workshop and the M&SNet Workshop) will be held in Puerto de la Cruz, a first order holiday resort in the north of the island. The conferences will take place in Hotel Oasis Orotava Palace (please see map), a very comfortable hotel within walking distance to the city centre, 200m from the beach and Lago Martianez.
Airports
There are two airports in Tenerife: the Northern Airport (or Los Rodeos) and the Southern Airport (or Reina Sofía). Any one of them can be chosen to arrive to the island, although we recommend the Northern one due to its proximity to the conference location in Puerto de la Cruz (just 26 km, whereas the Southern airport is around 100 km). The Northern Airport is also very close to the urban centre of the island (Santa Cruz - La Laguna), whereas the Southern Airport is next to the turistic area in the south.
Taxies
A taxi from the Suothern Airport could cost about 90 €, whereas a taxi from the Northern Airport is about 30 €.
Buses
Short distances and good and modern roads are a constant in the island. There is a local company, Titsa, which covers all the routes. Some important bus lines are:
- Line 340 connects both airports and Puerto de la Cruz.
- Line 102 also stops in the Northern Airport and links Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz.
- Apart from line 102, lines 101 and 103 also connects Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz.
- Finally, lines 341 and 111 connects the Southern Airport and Santa Cruz.
